My Midi Cloche Skirt

One Of the must haves for this Spring-Summer season is the “cloche skirt”. I made this skirt with a weird fabric mixing between satin and tafta, giving it a distinguished shiny and fluffy aspect. It is a mix between cold and warm colors making it match with all kinds of accessories.

It reflects the color of the top that you are wearing and making it possible to have a whole different outfit just by changing your top. This skirt suits all types of bodies, but make sure to wear a slim fit top to highlight the waist and show the cloche effect, and I advise to stay away from the flats.

It is casual, sexy and elegant, dare to wear it even if you have a very practical life, since it is comfy and it doesn’t need a special occasion

Hosting World’sNext Top Model 2014 On MTV

I was chosen by MTV Lebanon to host the biggest event in the region honoring outstanding models from around the world and that is MTV’s World’sNext Top Model 2014.

The preparations for the hosting started with meeting the girls and the jury a few days before the show. Also pacing the MTV stage to get familiar. I always want to be comfortable with the surroundings on stage to be able to be spontaneous and myself during the show, owning the stage was a must because there was no room for error.

The event was amazing, full of excitement and suspense. In such a big and carefully organized event, there are sponsors that dress the competitors and also the hosts, but as usual I preferred to dress myself which was a decision fully supported by MTV producers knowing my style and fashion sense that shows in AghaniAghani and previous events.

The dress was not easy to choose, I had to be careful to choose something decent that will not trigger the audience and respect TV’s dos and don’ts being the face of MTV for this event.

It was a challenge to pick the dress, I had to go with something attractive but not provocative, sexy but not offensive, something elegant and classy, controversial enough to be noticed and draw attention but not overshadow the event.

I finally decided on a safe black dress that has a high neck line, with black dentelle, I added a tulle to amplify the princess aspect of the dress also to add movement and volume. I wore golden close Louboutin shoes that went along perfectly. I kept a natural makeup with nude lips and my hair was in a lift hairdo.

The hosting with Kays went smoothly, chemistry and comfort were obvious. I received many positive reviews complimenting my dress and my handling of the event. I felt proud to have handled this challenge with ease on a fashion level and professional level, it was such a fruitful experience.

Stephanie Saliba At BIAF 2014

I had the honor to be invited to the event of the year: BIAF 2014; which is a unique festival that introduces distinguished personalities and figures that have had a special and unique mark in communities and fields all over the world.

I was so excited to be part of such an important event, but it was just my luck that it happened to be on the same night that I had an episode of Aghani Aghani on MTV Lebanon, but that was certainly not going to stop me. I wrapped up the episode and went in a hurry to the dressing room and got myself ready and headed straight to Zaytuna Bay where the event was held in the heart of Downtown.

I cloned myself or appeared from nowhere, no one expected me to juggle both work and the event but yet I did it, I felt a certain satisfaction to have been able to achieve that “mission impossible”.

For such a marvelous event, the dress was to be chosen with care, that is why I went with a classy long backless dress, that complimented my body perfectly to make it sexy and attractive. I chose the daring red color with a matching shiny golden Louboutin shoes. I’m a big fan of keeping things natural no matter the event, so I had light makeup and natural hair.

A wide media & PR campaign was carefully selected for the festival and a royal reception was held for the honorees who attended the event, including the red carpet that was nothing less than the ones held in international festivals with full interviews and interaction with the journalists , plus the wall of fame for pictures to be taken in a neat matter.

I was so astonished with the attention to details and the whole organizing of the event, I loved how everything went according to plan.

What is special about BIAF is shedding light on people who are behind the scenes, like directors rather than just actors, composers rather than singers, and producers rather than presenters. I caught myself getting emotional seeing everyone feeling appreciated for their hard work, which I see as a necessity for progress in any field.

This night was such a roller coaster but definitely worth it.

Stephanie’s favorite series: “Game Of Thrones”

If you haven’t heard of this series yet you must be living under a rock, this drama-fantasy series that is based on the books by George Martin has been breaking records through its 4 seasons. I got it to check what the fuss was all about and I watched it all in a matter of 6 days. Each season is of 10 episodes, I got attached from the first episode and did my own game of thrones marathon and watched all episodes back to back for 6 days straight.

game of thrones 2

The outfits in this series fascinate me, especially Queen Cersei’s gowns, they reflect medieval luxury. Hair styles and braids are just amazing, my favorite is definitely princess Sansa’s red hair. The shooting sites, the castles, the décor take you to another fairytale world.

My favorite characters are definitely Daenerys Targaryan aka Khaleesi, Rob Stark and Tyrion Lannister.

game of thrones 1

Daenerys Targaryan: is the ultimate symbol of girl power, despite the tragedy that hit her family and the struggles she had to go through, she never gave up. She refused to be told what to do and what to be. She showed that leadership is not only quality of man but also of a woman while keeping her femininity and tenderness. She leads by example not by power, she shows justice and humanity in her decisions, people follow her because they love her not because they fear her. We need a leader like her in real life.

Rob Stark: he is handsome and manly. A true hero among his troops. Chose love over his interests, what real men should do. He is a fierce leader in battle yet a loving and caring husband in his home.

Tyrion Lannister: he is a clever and sarcastic imp. Never afraid to say his opinion out loud, he is perfectly honest just how a journalist should be.

game of thrones 3

This series has succeeded in mixing love, war, fantasy, magic and fashion all in one which explains its high ratings.

I’m still in the middle of season 4, can’t wait for the rest to see what is going to happen.
