One Of the must haves for this Spring-Summer season is the “cloche skirt”. I made this skirt with a weird fabric mixing between satin and tafta, giving it a distinguished shiny and fluffy aspect. It is a mix between cold and warm colors making it match with all kinds of accessories.
It reflects the color of the top that you are wearing and making it possible to have a whole different outfit just by changing your top. This skirt suits all types of bodies, but make sure to wear a slim fit top to highlight the waist and show the cloche effect, and I advise to stay away from the flats.
It is casual, sexy and elegant, dare to wear it even if you have a very practical life, since it is comfy and it doesn’t need a special occasion
I was chosen by MTV Lebanon to host the biggest event in the region honoring outstanding models from around the world and that is MTV’s World’sNext Top Model 2014.
Stephanie Saliba & Mohammad Kays hosting World’s Next top Model 2014 on MTV Lebanon
The preparations for the hosting started with meeting the girls and the jury a few days before the show. Also pacing the MTV stage to get familiar. I always want to be comfortable with the surroundings on stage to be able to be spontaneous and myself during the show, owning the stage was a must because there was no room for error.

The event was amazing, full of excitement and suspense. In such a big and carefully organized event, there are sponsors that dress the competitors and also the hosts, but as usual I preferred to dress myself which was a decision fully supported by MTV producers knowing my style and fashion sense that shows in AghaniAghani and previous events.
The dress was not easy to choose, I had to be careful to choose something decent that will not trigger the audience and respect TV’s dos and don’ts being the face of MTV for this event.

It was a challenge to pick the dress, I had to go with something attractive but not provocative, sexy but not offensive, something elegant and classy, controversial enough to be noticed and draw attention but not overshadow the event.
I finally decided on a safe black dress that has a high neck line, with black dentelle, I added a tulle to amplify the princess aspect of the dress also to add movement and volume. I wore golden close Louboutin shoes that went along perfectly. I kept a natural makeup with nude lips and my hair was in a lift hairdo.

The hosting with Kays went smoothly, chemistry and comfort were obvious. I received many positive reviews complimenting my dress and my handling of the event. I felt proud to have handled this challenge with ease on a fashion level and professional level, it was such a fruitful experience.
The famous Mexican actress, singer and my favorite, wore a princess-cut wedding dress fit for royalty, with the Victorian bouffant skirt.
Eva Langoria
The desperate housewives star wore a10 foot train silk georgette and organza wedding dress, designed by Angel Sanchez and estimated at 75 000$ in her wedding to the Basket-ball player Tony Parker.
Queen Rania of Jordan
Back in 1993, the Jordanian beauty and noted fashionista married King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein in this gold-embroidered wedding gown designed by Bruce Oldfield
Michelle Obama
Before becoming first lady, she always dressed like one, she wore of the shoulder satin gown with a traditional veil creating a classic and ageless look when marrying president-to-be Barack Obama in 1992.
Nicole Richie
In 2010,the “Simple Life” star married longtime love Joel Madden in a custom made Marcesa gown that was designed for her in New York, she opted for bridal duds that were reminiscent of her own funky chic style.
Victoria Beckham
When Posh Spice married David Beckham in 1999, her Vera Wang gown cost an estimated $100,000 making it one of the most expensive memorable wedding gowns of all time.
The reality star didn’t slowdown in her second wedding for she wore a custom long-sleeve white lace Givenchy Haute Couture gown by the family friends Riccardo Tisci with custom Giuseppe Zanotti four-inch heels to walk down the isle with her hubby Kanye West.
Today’s outfit consists of a contrast between modern and princess-like look: the long skirt adding fairytale sense and the denim shirt that I found in Roma, Italy making it instantly look modern.
The long skirt: that I bought from Mykonos, Greece is fresh, comfortable and flexible.
I chose black not only because it is the safest color but also it adds classiness and balances the whole outfit. And as for me nothing beats black with the denim.
The accessories: I went with a bulky necklace, giving a fresh summerish vibe to the outfit with the vivid colors. Accessories characterize the look. So feel free to express your own character through your accessories whether its sophisticated, funky or simple. To keep the attention on the necklace, I settled with small flower earrings and a simple silver watch even though I am a ring lover.
The shoes: Feel free to wear any comfy shoes with the long skirt but make sure the color matches the denim. So I chose a blue Casadei high heel.
The bag: A big bag won’t fit the fairy tale look so preferred sticking to a casual fuchsia Stella McCartney clutch that I got from Miami to match the necklace. Adding colors is a must to have some contrast with the black skirt.
Notice that the items were brought from different countries so don’t be afraid to experiment in matching clothes, that’s what makes a true fashionista.
And since an outfit can only handle one statement and in this case it was the necklace I had to stick with a bun for a hairstyle leaving the scene for the cosmopolitan outfit to show.
1. Mirror; it might be the most “borrowed item” between girls so why always borrow it? Bring your own!
2. Deodorant, body and face splash; some forget how sweaty you might get at the pool so don’t forget these essentials to stay fresh all day and it is sexy to have your own fragrance.
3. Hair oil spray; Hair needs protection too! While you are busy making sure you have sun screen on; don’t forget your hair oil to protect your hair from harmful sunlight plus it’s a perfectly free “baind’huile” session.
4. Shaving kit; you never know! Sometimes when you get to the pool you discover that you missed a spot, so keep that kit with you in case of emergencies.
5. Hair brush; borrowing the hair brush from your girlfriends may transfer lice or dandruff so it is best to be avoided.
6. Water proof mobile cover; since our cellphone is the most precious item we have nowadays, and our best friend, we need to pamper it, keep it safe 😉
7. Beach pillow; ideal for people suffering from back and neck pain and it keeps you comfortable while tanning for long hours.
8. Glasses cleaning cloth;on the beach sun glasses get sticky because of oil and sun screens. To keep it clean wipe it with the cloth or use the special spray for extra care.
9. Small fresh towel for the face; you don’t want to dry your face with your big beach towel that is often all covered in oil.
10. Sun screen; with UV rays becoming dangerous better not go to the beach without protection. Try to find sun screens of skin color or tinted and avoid white mask sunscreens making you look like a beach ghost. You can find it now in compact powder too.
11. Magazine/book; if you are going to the beach in a relaxing/tanning purpose, a good book or interesting magazine would be the perfect companion
