The Perfect Eyeliner

Must-have Eyeliners

Spring is in the air & a flirty makeup is impossible without a cat-eye. Let me roll out my cosmetic bag for you & review my favorite eyeliners as not all eyeliners were born equal. I prefer my liner intense, long lasting, and perfect.

Tom Ford Eyimagee Definiimageng Penimageimage

Pro: easy to use & dries fast

imageCon: a bit pricey

Pen goes on very smoothly and the liquimageid is very consistent. Since I use eyeliner every day, this is the most long lasting eyeliner! There’s no smudging (even for oily skin!) and the product usually lasts around 6 months for me. The fine tip application is very easy to use, and you can build up to the line you desire. It’s very highly pigmented so a few strokes is enough to get a very strong line.

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner

imagePro: Dries quickly, easy application

Con: Too thick

Gel Liners are always great to achieve that perfect line, and are incredibly easy to correct if you make a mistake. So what more perfect gel is there than Bobbi Brown? It’s almost feels like liquid because the color is so highly pigmented. Thick liners like this one last really long so that’s always a plus. Extra tip: since the liner is so thick, use a thick brush to apply or it’ll take you a long time. Ideally, pick up Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush & don’t use gels if you have oily skin as it can melt the eyeliner and give you raccoon eyes.

L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Liner

Pro: Highly Pigmented

Con: Smudges

This eyeliner is great value for money if you are in a mood for a smokey eye! The product is highly pigmented, works best when paired with black eyeshadow for a very smokey effect. It could smudge a bit, but since I use it with a darker shadow it’s not a huge problem at all, and can give my eyes a romantic effect. For a more precise line, you can use the sharpener attached on the opposite side.

Benefit Push-up Liner

Pro: Dries fast, long lasting

Con: Can get flakey

If you are struggling with gel and liquid liners, this is a great alternative because it’s a gel liner in a marker! it’s super creamy and easy to use, but it can definitely clump and get flakey if you try to re-touch it. The rubber tip is perfect to work on your lash line without touching the lashes.

Over the knee Boots

image

If there is one item this season you shouldsplurge on, that would be a pair of over the knee boots👢

👉 These super sexy boots have been seen from every Fall/Winter fashion week, inimage different structures and colors to the streets of NY, Milan & Paris.

They are so sophisticated and chic no matter if you pair them with an oversized sweater and jeans or a little sexy dress. The boots could easily be mixed & matched with almost anything in your closet so you could let your fashion imagination go wild👌.
They look amazing with ab-so-lu-te-ly everything: leather jackets, wool coats, skirts, shorts, pants, denim and even turtleneck oversized sweater dresses.
This season it’s not about biker and riding boots anymore, it’s about thigh-high boots that won’t leave you unnoticed.😉
Just be careful while wearing such a statement piece: you don’t want to look like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman😱. If you go for a skirt or shorts, keep the rest of the outfit simple and don’t show too much skin or cleavage.
Anything too revealing is unsuitable. These boots look best with bare legs but if you can’t go without tights, choose simple ones without any applications or fishnet, darker than your skin or opaque ones. Always remember that silhouette of the outfit is everything: as these boots are form-fitting and tight,
💫the rest of your look should be loose for example Mix a long sleeve dress and a coat with the boots: you will outshine everyone with sexiness while keeping it classy at the same time.

🎀 For a bold hippie look, you could pair your boots with a fedora or a floppy hat👒, while keeping the rest of the outfit simple and serene.

Magic of over the knee boots is in their versatility. They will work for both casual outfits and elegant dinner parties, for coffee with your friends and night out on the town as wellimage. Such classic and timeless piece could be considered as the little black dress of 21st century.
Tell me your opinions: Do you like this trend? What are your favorite over the knee boots?❤️

Little Red Dress

Winter is already dreary and grey enough as it is ! As much as there is love for a classic all-black ensemble, adding bright pops of color will keep your spirit high during the season’s coldest months.
Since Red is the color of love and Valentine’s is only days away, for yesterday’s show I wore red,to balance such a bright hue I paired it with classic suede Louboutin

Hosting World’sNext Top Model 2014 On MTV

I was chosen by MTV Lebanon to host the biggest event in the region honoring outstanding models from around the world and that is MTV’s World’sNext Top Model 2014.

The preparations for the hosting started with meeting the girls and the jury a few days before the show. Also pacing the MTV stage to get familiar. I always want to be comfortable with the surroundings on stage to be able to be spontaneous and myself during the show, owning the stage was a must because there was no room for error.

The event was amazing, full of excitement and suspense. In such a big and carefully organized event, there are sponsors that dress the competitors and also the hosts, but as usual I preferred to dress myself which was a decision fully supported by MTV producers knowing my style and fashion sense that shows in AghaniAghani and previous events.

The dress was not easy to choose, I had to be careful to choose something decent that will not trigger the audience and respect TV’s dos and don’ts being the face of MTV for this event.

It was a challenge to pick the dress, I had to go with something attractive but not provocative, sexy but not offensive, something elegant and classy, controversial enough to be noticed and draw attention but not overshadow the event.

I finally decided on a safe black dress that has a high neck line, with black dentelle, I added a tulle to amplify the princess aspect of the dress also to add movement and volume. I wore golden close Louboutin shoes that went along perfectly. I kept a natural makeup with nude lips and my hair was in a lift hairdo.

The hosting with Kays went smoothly, chemistry and comfort were obvious. I received many positive reviews complimenting my dress and my handling of the event. I felt proud to have handled this challenge with ease on a fashion level and professional level, it was such a fruitful experience.

The Story behind my fairytale dress

One of my close friends asked me to be her bridesmaid and I said yes!

The search for a dress Began. She had a royal wedding so the first thing I thought of was a light Disney inspired dress that reflects magic and romance.

1 2

I decided to step away from the typical bridesmaid gowns, to feel like I’m an extra piece of art to the couple’s beautiful wedding, I wanted to be the fairy blessing their marriage

8 4

I went on with my research and met with my designer Elio Abou Faysal and quickly started brainstorming. I wanted to make sure that it is original in terms of fabric and design.

6

Fashion is a combination of many elements that come together to create a spectacular piece of art. When designing my bridesmaid dress I chose to infuse in it Cinderella inspired elements. Every fashionista needs a muse, and today my muse is the famous Cinderella princess. This magic of this fairytale story is overwhelming and that is why it is every little girl dream to wear a Cinderella blue gown.

5 7

I went with long sleeves since there was a long cut in the skirt. We decided on the blue/gray color, a not so popular color to keep the uniqueness factor. As for the fabric we chose the “dentelle” to add classiness and “tule” for the volume and fairy tale look I was aiming for.

Such a dress isn’t complete unless we add some brodery. Picked blue pearls and a bit of “Swarovski” instead of “strass” to go with the pale fabric and give it a smooth shining theme.

When I wore the dress I felt like a princess, a feeling that every girl should feel at least once in a lifetime.

I achieved one of my childhood dream dresses, and felt like walking in my own master piece.

“This is more than just a dress for me that is why I felt like sharing the experience and the steps towards making this gown”

The first outfit: “L’Africana À La Stephanie”

I named it “L’Africana” because of the tissue that I used. Having lived in Africa for quite some time, I have been fascinated by their traditional printed outfits.

Since my family still lives there at the moment, I asked my sister to send me this lovely red and black printed fabric.

This fabric being a painting by itself, I worked on a design to compliment it. The high wasted long skirt is so in style right now so I just added a one leg side opening to give the illusion of a dress and chose a perfectly heard shaped corset to give it a sexy look.

I picked these 2 colors for the beautiful contrast they make and because I fell I love with the vivid red color that screams out with the dark black.

I wanted to focus on the character of the outfit with the question “What kind of woman can wear such a dress?” always in mind, and make it something that a strong confident sexy yet elegant woman would wear.

Passion for Fashion : “À la Stephanie”

Ever dreamed of designing your own clothes and wearing your own creations? I know I did….
In fact, I grew up sewing Barbie dresses and playing dress up.
Most girls, design their prom or wedding gowns, but why wait for occasions to showcase the Creative person in you. We all dream of wearing that perfect short backless party dress or long for that 50s ladylike look but cant seem to find that printed mid-length skirt in any store.

I believe that clothes are a reflection of who you are and how you plan your outfit tells a lot about you, that‘s why I have decided to start creating and wearing my own pieces designed by me.

BE YOURSELF everyone else is already taken

While the title may sum it all, but it is actually a book by Mike Robbins.

9781423376026

It’s an empowering and refreshing book that reminds us that each of us has a unique purpose to fulfill in this world. Since we are living in a world where it became nearly impossible to distinguish between what is real and what is fake, this powerful book teaches you how to access and express the realness you crave in your work, your relationships, and yourself.

It is a clear guide to get in touch with yourself and to learn to love the person that you are. Robbins talks about 5 principles to celebrate one’s self and understand that we are spiritual beings first. This book frees you from society’s influences and pressures to simply be your true self. I strongly recommend it.

5 Tips On How To Spend Your Money While Shopping

  1. When shopping think of “Investment”, most of us, and me included, often go shopping when bored, but usually end up with clothes that never leave the closet. Don’t buy a pair of jeans that are tight thinking that they will “loosen up” later on and then never wear them again, or a top that your friends liked but you weren’t comfortable in. Any item that you buy and not wear is a lost investment.

  1. Accessories: it’s no place for saving, the most common mistake is when people go for cheap accessories thinking that they are not as important as the clothes, however, quality accessories spice up the outfit and add glam. Make sure that your accessories are good quality so they don’t make your look tacky.

  1. Good basics are important, but with a specific budget, Don’t spend much money on basics like tees, since they wear out quickly; a trench coat and a pair of boots on the other hand, is something that will last. Spending time and money to find the perfect coat or the perfect blazer is worth it.

  1. Pick your designer items carefully! If you want to buy printed long/short dresses, tops, or shorts, there is no need to go for brands because they all look the same. If you’re going to have one designer item, make it your handbag or your shoes, a good handbag makes your whole outfit look better.

  1. Don’t be afraid of going all in on the shoes, bad shoes can strongly influence your image, as for cheap looking shoes can make your party dress look trashy. So wait for the sale if you have to, but buy the right shoes because no matter how expensive your dress is, cheap shoes will make it lose spark.
